Hello my name is Nina Fraser

Chief Nursing Officer

I think being a nurse or midwife is a privilege.  You train to give care to patients and support their families at some of the most difficult points in their lives.  There are few careers that at the end of a shift you can say that you made a real difference to the lives of an individual.

Working at UHCW is special. You will be joining a team of more than 3,000 care staff who have the passion and commitment to deliver outstanding care to the patients of our local community and beyond, from the joy at the beginning of new life to the sadness at its end.  Our staff care for patients in both specialist and challenging areas of clinical practice and improve the lives of many, many people.

We have outstanding opportunities for nurses and midwives at UHCW, from working in a range of clinical specialisms not found in many other hospitals, including development opportunities to take forward your career in advanced practice, research, leadership and other practice areas.  As a newly-qualified nurse or midwife, you will also receive support and mentorship to guide you through those first early months in clinical practice.

I would encourage and welcome nurses and midwives to find out about the world class work we do here to see if you could be part of our team that gives outstanding care to patients and support for their families.
