Therapies

 

We provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy services to patients at UHCW NHS Trust, working across both the Coventry and Rugby sites.  We provide services to both in and out patients spanning many specialities including:

  • Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Gerontology
  • Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Neurology and Stroke
  • Critical Care
  • Women's Health
  • Paediatrics

Our clinical teams comprise of qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists who lead on the assessments and treatments of patients.  A team of therapy assistant practitioners, technicians and assistants support the qualified staff and carry their own delegated caseloads.

Our admin teams are based on both sites and provide admin support to all of our department  including reception services and the booking of out patient appointments.

Occupational Therapist

Ideal candidates for this role will be dedicated, adaptable, motivated team workers who are keen to ensure delivery of quality Occupational Therapy to the patients of Coventry and surrounding areas.

The therapy teams are led by experienced senior therapists providing excellent support and supervision. Our friendly and enthusiastic department provides opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge through regular appraisal and CPD.

Occupational Therapists may be required to work flexibly across two sites and to support a seven day service. Specialties include medicine and surgery, orthopedics, neurosciences, stroke, upper limb unit, rheumatology and rehabilitation unit.

Physiotherapist

New physiotherapists joining the Trust will be part of our Band 5 rotations which include stroke, out patients, medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, critical care and neuro across both the Rugby and Coventry sites.

Ideal candidates will be dedicated, adaptable, motivated team workers who are keen to ensure delivery of quality Physiotherapy to the patients of Coventry, Rugby and surrounding areas. Physiotherapists also participate in weekend and on call rotas.

Therapy Assistant

Therapy assistants support the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in providing therapy interventions to patients within that specialty. The role also includes undertaking a variety of non-clinical tasks to ensure the efficient day to day running of the service and team.

Therapy Assistants are part of a friendly and supportive team and you will be encouraged to develop your skills through regular supervision and appraisals and support with in-service training and case reviews.
